Glen Herrin has been in the timber industry for 35 years. He is past President of the Forrest/Lamar Counties Forestry Association and the Mississippi Forestry Association. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Area Development Partnership, Governor's Commission on Recovery, Rebuilding and Renewal, and as past Trustee of the Mississippi Forestry Foundation.

He is a present member of the State Implementation Committee for the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. He is the present Manager and Vice-President of Southgate Timber Company.
